(can not be taken for credit if you already have taken PBIO 102 or PBIO 111)


Attendance Policy

University policy will be followed. Attendance will not be taken for lectures. However, exam questions are based on lecture material, some of which is NOT from the text. Lab attendance is MANDATORY. Missed labs & quizzes and/or missed lecture exams can be made up only with adequate proof of a legitimate absence as defined by Ohio University. Students will not be permitted to take a quiz based on a lab that they did not attend.


Basis for Awarding Grades

There will be two midterm exams (100 points each) , laboratory quizzes, final exam, etc. (150 points) and a course final exam (150 points). Final course grades are based on the following the percentages:

92-100% = A; 90-91% = A-; 88-89% = B+; 82-87% = B; 80-81% = B-; 78-79% = C+; 72-77% = C; 70-71% = C-; 68-69% = D+; 62-67% = D; 60-61% = D-; 59% = F
 

Note: Regardless of the percentage earned in either the lecture part of the course or the laboratory part of the course, a student must pass BOTH lecture and lab to pass the course.


Academic Dishonesty: Any student caught cheating on a quiz, exam or assignment will fail the course.
