Prerequisetes

A general knowledge of introductory biology and organismal botany is expected of each student at the beginning of plant morphology. Students with an understanding of the material covered in PBIO 114 & 115 are prepared for success in the course. If you are unsure of your preparation, or about the extent to which you retain this information, review the material in an introductory text such as Raven, Evert and Eichhorn (Raven, P.H., R.F. Evert and S.E. Eichhorn. 2005. Biology of Plants, 7th ed., Worth Publishers, New York, 686 pp).

Are PBIO 308 and PBIO 508 the same course?

PBIO 308 and 508 cover the same body of material and meet at the same time, but they are NOT the same course. Each course has unique requirements, different tests, and differing expectations for the breadth and depth of material to be mastered. PBIO 308 students will not be competing with PBIO 508 students for a grade! Consult either the Introductory Information for PBIO 308 or the Introductory Information for PBIO 508 for details about the course you are taking.
